Dublin: UNESCO City of Literature

One of the many things I love about sharing my travels through blogging is how readers will continue to inform me of related characteristics or events.

Dr Peggy Delmas, (my co-author of Paige and Peggy's Excellent Chinese Adventure http://paigeandpeggy.blogspot.com/) discovered that Dublin is a UNESCO "City of Literature."

By reading the different blog post I have become even more excited for my trip to Ireland next summer. My favorite famous book of Ireland, which I believe is the oldest, is the Book of Kells. I have always enjoyed the incredible details of the art work found throughout it’s pages. I believe this book represents the importance of art, history, knowledge, and religion in the Irish culture, as it should be with all cultures. “People without knowledge of their past, history, origin, and culture is like a tree without roots” Marcus Garvey”

Reading this makes me want to go to Ireland! I love this picture! I am a book fan, and I love pictures of old vintage books. I have several pictures like this in my house.
